Liverpool midfielder Wataru Endo has found limited playing time difficult and may consider leaving if his situation doesn’t improve.

Several top European clubs are monitoring his status at Liverpool and could offer him an exit in the coming months. Sources tell CaughtOffside that the Japanese international is seeking a new club due to his lack of minutes at Liverpool.

Since joining from VfB Stuttgart last summer, the 31-year-old defensive midfielder has proven to be a reliable squad player, though he’s eager for more game time at this stage of his career. However, Liverpool may not be able to meet his desire for a larger role.

AC Milan have shown interest in Endo, appreciating his versatility and on-field contributions, and believe he could bring substantial value to their squad.

Endo could be available at a reasonable price, likely around €15-18 million, making him an attractive option for Milan’s midfield.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot has yet to define Endo’s role in his plans, suggesting that Endo may not be central to Slot’s strategy, which has increased the likelihood of his departure.

In addition to Milan, clubs like Celtic, Fulham, Wolverhampton, and Ipswich have also expressed interest in the Japanese international and may pursue him soon.

At 31, Endo may seek a move to a competitive team with trophy ambitions, making Milan an appealing option.
