HERE WE GO: Manchester United have confirmed the signing of the 25-year-old Europe’s most sought-after striker, beating Chelsea and Liverpool to secure the £60 million superstar.

His medical is scheduled for today, with the official announcement expected within the next 24 hours.

According to the Daily Mail, Matheus Cunha may travel to Manchester for a medical this week after United makes a formal approach to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The South American forward has agreed to a five-year contract with an option for an extra year, but United still needs to activate his £62.5 million release clause, payable in three installments of £20.85 million over two years.

Manchester United aim to finalize the Cunha deal before the week ends, and he is expected to be their first signing this summer.

Additionally, talks are ongoing with Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, a 25-year-old Cameroon international who would cost around £50 million after scoring 20 Premier League goals and providing seven assists this season.

Ipswich Town striker Liam Delap is also on United’s radar due to his £30 million release clause, but signing three forwards totaling around £150 million is unlikely without first offloading players.

Having lost the Europa League final to Tottenham Hotspur last week, United missed out on £100 million in Champions League revenue, forcing them to tighten their summer spending.

Captain Bruno Fernandes could be sold, with the Portuguese star reportedly considering a £200 million three-year offer from Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal.

A bid near £100 million from the Middle Eastern club would be difficult for United to refuse, and the extent of their squad rebuild depends heavily on player sales.

The club also needs to strengthen midfield and goalkeeping options. With no European football next season, United might be better positioned to focus on domestic competitions.
