Paul Pogba’s 18-month suspension from football has officially ended, but the French midfielder is in no hurry to commit to a new club. Reports suggest that he is carefully considering his next move and is unlikely to make a decision before the season concludes.

Due to the timing of transfer windows, Pogba’s immediate options are limited to clubs in Major League Soccer (MLS) or Japan’s J1 League.

However, the 31-year-old is focused on securing a return to one of Europe’s elite leagues, ideally with a team competing in the Champions League or Europa League.

His long-term ambition remains earning a place in France’s 2026 World Cup squad, and he believes playing at the highest level in Europe will maximize his chances.

He has already attracted interest from several clubs, including Marseille, Fiorentina, and unnamed LaLiga sides, while rejecting offers from Saudi Arabia and Brazil’s Serie A.

During his ban, Pogba maintained his fitness by working with a personal trainer and playing in informal matches in Miami, where he has been residing with his family.

Now eligible to return to competitive football, he plans to take his time before making a final decision on his future.
