Reports suggest that Victor Lindelof might not be the only Manchester United player joining Jose Mourinho at Fenerbahce this summer.
Swedish defender Lindelof, who joined United during Mourinho’s tenure, is hoping for a reunion. Despite injuries limiting his appearances last season, Erik ten Hag is believed to have approved the move.
Fenerbahce, who finished second in the Super Lig last season, are also reportedly interested in Casemiro. The Brazilian midfielder had a challenging second season at Old Trafford and has been linked with a summer exit.
Although Mourinho did not manage Casemiro at United, he is familiar with him from their time at Real Madrid.
Fenerbahce sports director Mario Branco is considering whether Casemiro would be too expensive for the Turkish club. Casemiro joined United for £60 million but is unlikely to fetch the same fee now.
His potential departure could help United free up finances to strengthen other areas. The Saudi Pro League has also shown interest in Casemiro, following similar moves for former United players Cristiano Ronaldo and Alex Telles.
United extended Lindelof’s contract for one year midway through the season, but with his contract expiring in the summer of 2025, an exit is still possible.
