After resigning as Birmingham City’s head coach just four months ago, Rooney returns to management. His stint at St Andrew’s lasted only 83 days before his dismissal.

Now, he faces the challenge of steering Plymouth Argyle out of their Championship relegation battle after Ian Foster’s dismissal.
In an interview with Argyle TV, Rooney discussed his busy schedule: “Every day is a working day now, whether that’s here or with the kids, and I have certain duties with the European Championships.”
He highlighted his primary goals, stating, “The main goal each day is to recruit players, work with the coaches on our playing style, and prepare for preseason.”
