Paul Pogba has dismissed rumors linking him to negotiations with Olympique Marseille, calling them “not believable.”
After the reduction of his four-year doping ban, speculation arose that the 31-year-old might join the Ligue 1 club.
This followed comments by his friend and former teammate, Patrice Evra, who mentioned he would suggest Pogba to Marseille’s sports director, Medhi Benatia.
Pogba’s suspension, initially for testing positive for testosterone early in the 2023–2024 season, was significantly reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, allowing him to return in March 2025.
Despite his innocence claim, it’s unlikely Pogba will remain at Juventus, with talks reportedly underway to mutually end his contract, which is set to expire in 2026.
Regarding the Marseille rumors, Pogba told L’Equipe, “I laugh because Uncle Pat said it jokingly. It’s not plausible as I’m still under contract.”
