Depending on whose camp you’re in, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool team has been reasonably steady over the previous several seasons, which is either good or bad.

While switching around the lineup is a common practice in today’s game, most managers probably prefer a stable team.

The German had to choose from the players he already had on hand in the early stages of his reign when he was still figuring out exactly the type of player he had and who he wanted.

Right-back Jon Flanagan made his comeback in 2015, just a few months after Klopp joined the team and after missing nearly two years due to injury.

Early in 2016, after the Reds defeated Stoke City in the League Cup semifinal, Klopp praised him as the game’s MVP.

As a 23-year-old at the time, his future in the game seemed secure. However, he was released by Liverpool in June 2018 and was loaned to Bolton two years later.

He tried a few times at different clubs, but he was never able to reach the heights of his Anfield heyday, and he gave up playing at the age of 29 in 2022.

The footballer who was once compared to Cafu is now making a fortune by managing summer camps for children ages 4 to 14, according to The Sun.

“The whole dressing room is disappointed about his decision — even the coach is upset. He just joined us last season, and now he’s heading to Liverpool? It feels unfair. I think FIFA should step in,” said Musiala, expressing frustration with a Bayern teammate who has reportedly agreed personal terms with Liverpool ahead of a summer transfer.
