Jose Mourinho will return to England this weekend to commentate on TNT Sports’ coverage of the Champions League final.
Since January, when he was dismissed by Serie A club AS Roma, the former Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur manager has been without a full-time job.
Although he led Roma to the UEFA Conference League title in the 2021/22 season, his relationship with the club soured, leading to their parting ways at the start of the year.
Since then, Mourinho has been active in Saudi Arabia, where several teams have reportedly shown interest in him. He has expressed interest in working in the Middle East one day, though he hasn’t ruled out a return to the Premier League.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the veteran manager would “walk to Manchester” for a chance to manage Manchester United again.
While a Premier League return seems unlikely, Chelsea has also been linked with bringing Mourinho back for a third stint. What is certain, however, is that this weekend, English fans at Wembley Stadium will hear expert analysis from the two-time Champions League winner.
On Saturday night, Borussia Dortmund will face Real Madrid, Mourinho’s former team. Real Madrid, aiming for their 15th Champions League title, enter the match as favorites.
