In October, Manchester City will face a hearing regarding the 115 charges brought against them.

While the Premier League has confirmed the scheduling of a hearing date, Pete O’Rourke, a senior writer, noted on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast that he expects the process to be prolonged.

The charges stem from allegations of breaching Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations over a nine-year period, initially announced in February 2023.

Despite the absence of a set hearing date, Football Insider reported on April 27 that due to the complexity of the case, a resolution before the end of the upcoming season is unlikely.

O’Rourke suggests that Manchester City is likely to appeal any penalties imposed, as their legal team maintains the club’s innocence and denies any wrongdoing.
