Reports indicate that Sergio Aguero will begin training with his former team in anticipation of a potential football comeback.
Aguero had previously announced his retirement from the sport shortly after joining Barcelona in 2021, having had a successful stint with Manchester City.
Aguero was hospitalized due to chest issues during Barcelona’s match against Deportivo de Alaves, where he experienced a heart arrhythmia. Following medical advice, he was advised to refrain from playing.
However, according to Mundo Deportivo, Aguero has provided a recording from his cardiologist suggesting a potential return to the field.
The cardiologist advised Aguero to prepare for a comeback, stating that with proper tests and training, playing again could be a possibility.
There have been discussions about Aguero potentially rejoining his former team, Independiente, particularly if Carlos Tevez, who manages the team, reaches out to him.
Despite his health concerns, Aguero continues to play in Gerard Pique’s seven-a-side Kings League.
Aguero, who experienced chest pain during his first start for Barcelona against Alaves in 2021, eventually announced his retirement at a press conference in December of the same year. He emphasized prioritizing his health and following medical advice.
