– Manchester United is considering asking David de Gea to return on a short-term deal when Andre Onana, who replaced him, departs for the Africa Cup of Nations. De Gea has remained without a new club since his release in the summer.

– Real Sociedad defender Robin Le Normand has attracted the attention of both Manchester United and Liverpool.

– Bayern Munich is uncertain about reigniting their interest in Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha, who was close to joining them in the summer.

– Jose Mourinho is expected to leave Roma in the summer and make a return to the Premier League. There’s a possibility of striker Tammy Abraham joining him, considering a return to England and a potential swap deal with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku.

– Chelsea is rumored to be considering a €100m (£87m) bid for Barcelona’s Gavi, as the Spanish club faces financial difficulties.

– Manchester City would demand at least £80m for striker Julian Alvarez, who has attracted interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid.

– Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus is being closely watched by Barcelona and Real Madrid, with both Clasico rivals showing interest.

– Real Madrid could capitalize on Manchester United’s interest in Real Sociedad winger Takefusa Kubo. With a 50% sell-on clause, they might trigger Kubo’s €60m (£52m) release clause, making half of that back and potentially selling him to Manchester United for €70m (£61m).

– Real Madrid might use some of that money to pursue Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Fabian Ruiz, who is a target for manager Carlo Ancelotti.

– Liverpool is prepared to compete with Manchester City for the signing of Chelsea left-back Ian Maatsen, who could potentially leave Stamford Bridge in January.

– Tottenham Hotspur is looking to outpace competition from Newcastle United to secure the signing of Juventus winger Federico Chiesa, who is valued at £60m.

– Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid Warren Zaire-Emery is on the verge of signing a new long-term contract with the Ligue 1 champions.
