Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has addressed recent rumors connecting him to a move to the Saudi Pro League, emphasizing his commitment to the club.

Despite reports suggesting substantial bids, Fernandes, during a press conference, expressed satisfaction with his current situation, focusing on both his responsibilities with United and the Portuguese national team.

While not completely ruling out a transfer, Fernandes highlighted his concentration on immediate objectives. “Being coveted is always good, regardless of the league and the club,” he stated. “But my focus is on the national team and Manchester United. I’m happy where I am.”

Discussing the team’s current form, Fernandes acknowledged a challenging start at United but maintained a short-term perspective. With his contract extending until 2026, the 29-year-old captain emphasized that he does not let market rumors distract him. “Until the moment something concrete comes to me, I don’t care what I see. I prefer to be focused on my goals,” Fernandes stated firmly.

Jadon Sancho, another key player for Manchester United, is also reportedly on the radar of Saudi clubs. However, unlike Fernandes, Sancho is facing a different scenario, with indications that he may leave the club in January due to ongoing issues with manager Erik ten Hag. While Saudi clubs expressed interest during the summer, Sancho’s representatives have conveyed his reluctance to move to the Middle East at this stage in his career.

Sancho’s preference is reportedly a return to former club Borussia Dortmund, though financial complexities and interest from other clubs like Juventus may complicate the transfer. The 23-year-old winger appears focused on a move to another top European league, and his representatives have made it clear that they won’t be compelled into negotiations solely based on the highest bidder.
