Manchester United’s chances of landing Victor Osimhen have improved, as Juventus have reportedly dropped out of the race. Earlier this week, reports from Italy suggested United had agreed to activate Osimhen’s release clause at Napoli.
According to Tuttosport, the Red Devils are prepared to offer £64 million plus Rasmus Hojlund in exchange for the Nigerian striker.
The same source indicated that Juventus, who initially prioritized Osimhen, have shifted their focus after United advanced talks with the player.
The Turin club is now targeting Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui, valued at around €50 million (£42 million), with Ademola Lookman also being considered.
Although developments appear promising for United, there is no certainty that Osimhen will move to Old Trafford.
Meanwhile, Liam Delap has been highlighted as a possible addition for incoming manager Ruben Amorim, with the youngster available for £30 million following Ipswich’s relegation.
Wolves striker Matheus Cunha is also still linked to United, though a £62.5 million release clause would need to be met to secure his signing.
