Despite this, Dortmund have made it clear they have no intention of letting the 23-year-old leave. The German side view him as an essential part of their plans following a tough campaign of their own.
Nmecha, who developed through Manchester City’s academy, is already familiar with English football and culture, which could help him adapt quickly if he moves to Old Trafford.
However, convincing Dortmund to sell would likely require a substantial offer, and it remains unclear whether the player himself is open to a Premier League return at this time.
Meanwhile, there are some doubts about Kobbie Mainoo’s future under Amorim, with concerns over his role and limited minutes.
However, sources at GIVEMESPORT indicate that Amorim and Mainoo have had encouraging discussions, and the club believes the youngster can thrive again—despite outside interest in a potential £70m move.
