Kylian Mbappe scored his 20th goal in Ligue 1 this season, helping PSG extend their lead in the French league by nine points after defeating Strasbourg. However, there is uncertainty surrounding the star player’s future.
Mbappe signed his latest contract in 2022, which binds him to PSG until the summer of 2024, with an option for extension until 2025, which is up to him. Despite PSG receiving a €300 million bid from Al-Hilal last summer, Mbappe chose not to join the Saudi Pro League.
A contractual dispute last season led to Mbappe being temporarily excluded from the first team and training with PSG’s reserve players. This season, however, has seen a reconciliation, with Mbappe leading the scoring charts and performing exceptionally well for his club.
Amid rumors linking the 25-year-old to Liverpool, uncertainties exist due to the absence of a sporting director at the club and Jurgen Klopp’s impending departure at the end of the season.
According to transfer expert Romano, Real Madrid is actively working behind the scenes to secure Mbappe’s signature, and the player is expected to communicate his decision to PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi soon.
Romano commented, “The Kylian Mbappe situation is one to watch in the coming days and weeks. As we await his final decision on the future, both Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are eager for Mbappe’s imminent announcement, which will determine his destiny.”
He further stated, “We are waiting for Mbappe’s decision; he will inform President Nasser al-Khelaifi first, and then the story will unfold. Real Madrid is persistently working behind the scenes to secure the Mbappe deal. Therefore, Real Madrid remains actively involved in the pursuit.”
