Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League is reportedly ready to significantly increase its offer to Liverpool for the club’s winger Mohamed Salah.
During the summer transfer window, the Middle East region showed strong interest in the Egypt international.
Before Al-Ittihad made a £150 million (€173 million) offer to Liverpool a few days before the summer transfer market closed, Salah was extensively linked with a move to that club.
The Premier League powerhouses promptly rejected this proposal. Al-Ittihad reportedly intended to up their offer for Salah, but they decided against doing so before the transfer window closed.
But Liverpool is aware that they might soon lose Salah. They are reportedly getting ready to accept sizable offers for Salah during the winter transfer window.
With three goals and four assists in Liverpool’s first six Premier League games of the season, Salah has already established his value to the team.
However, Al-Ittihad don’t seem to be giving up, as the Spanish publication Fichajes claims that they ‘will once again work at full speed to try once more to clinch the arrival’ of Salah as they are ‘ready to make an exceptional offer to guarantee his signing’.
They will “shortly raise their financial proposal,” offering Liverpool “more than 250 million euros including bonuses,” it is reported.
Salah will also reportedly receive a “tempting” contract, with reports claiming he will receive a salary of “more than 120 million euros.”
Following their refusal to part with their prized asset in the summer, Liverpool will be put to the test with this new proposition, which is later described as “one of the big transfer bombs” during the approaching winter transfer window.
Andy Robertson, a Liverpool defender, said earlier this month that because Salah is “the ultimate professional,” he will “block out” rumours of a transfer for the time being.
