Liverpool are reportedly eyeing a move for Newcastle United forward Anthony Gordon during the upcoming summer transfer window.
As per the *Daily Mail*, the Reds are ready to make another major investment following their big-money deal for Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
That transfer is expected to cost around £100 million — a club-record fee — and now Liverpool are willing to splash the cash again for Gordon.
Not Their First Attempt
The Merseyside club previously tried to sign Gordon last summer and still consider him a top target. Talks were held back then, and now they’re looking to revive their pursuit of the 24-year-old.
Convincing Gordon personally may not be a challenge, given he grew up as a Liverpool supporter. However, persuading Newcastle to part ways with one of their key players could prove more difficult.
