Arne Slot has made it clear that the performance displayed in the first half against Ipswich Town will not be tolerated in the future.
As reported by Lewis Steele on X (formerly Twitter), the Dutch manager’s post-match press conference highlighted his dissatisfaction.
This follows Slot’s decisive move to substitute Jarell Quansah for Ibrahima Konate at halftime, aiming to improve Liverpool’s aerial dominance.
The Reds showed significant improvement in the second half, exemplified by Konate’s strong aerial presence, winning 4 out of 5 duels against the Blues.
An important early warning from Slot
This wasn’t the first, nor will it be the last time, that Liverpool has had a disappointing first-half showing.
However, we’re quite impressed with the early decisions made by our new head coach, ensuring that Liverpool secured the win in Suffolk.
