Despite their interest, Liverpool reportedly will not make a bid for Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon due to Newcastle’s high valuation, as per the NY Times.
Gordon, currently on international duty with England, has seen his reputation rise recently, but Liverpool won’t pursue a formal offer for the former Everton player.
Although Gordon is a Liverpool fan, he has two years left on his Newcastle contract and cannot force a move.
Newcastle are relieved, as they can’t afford to lose another top player after Bruno Guimaraes’ £100 million release clause expired.
