Former Chelsea and Liverpool star Daniel Sturridge has an arrest warrant out for him after he failed to show up for court in Los Angeles to discuss money he allegedly owes to a man who claims to have discovered his dog.
The Pomeranian went missing in July 2019, and according to The Daily Mail, Foster Washington, also known as Killa Fame, an American rapper, claimed responsibility for reuniting Sturridge and his dog Lucci.
In order to get it back, Sturridge claimed that it had been stolen from his Los Angeles house and that he was at the time giving a reward to the person who found it.
The Englishman claimed that many who claimed to have found Lucci were trying to make money off of their claims, but he insisted that his dog had been found by a young person to whom he had given a prize.
Foster Washington, who claimed to have found Sturridge’s dog, sued the 34-year-old in civil court, but he claimed he never got the promised money.

A warrant for Daniel Sturridge’s arrest is active.
Sturridge was ordered to pay Washington $30,000 (£24,400) in December 2021 as a result of a default judgment because the former Liverpool star had not responded to the lawsuit.
Last month, the pundit received a second summons to appear in court for a “debtor’s exam,” during which he was required to answer questions regarding his financial situation. As a result of Sturridge’s absence, a bench warrant—a summons issued by a judge to arrest a defendant and bring them before court—was served on him.
The court has set a new hearing for November 30 to decide the Sturridge v. Killa Fame case.
