After a dismal season debut, Manchester United’s decision-makers have made up their minds on Erik ten Hag.

After losing badly to rivals Manchester City at home, Manchester United’s season took a further turn for the worst.

The 3-0 defeat at Old Trafford to Pep Guardiola’s team, which may have been even more pronounced, demonstrated the reigning Premier League champions’ superiority in the second half of the game.

Consequently, after finishing 10 games with five victories and five defeats, Manchester United is now ranked seventh in the league rankings.

They are currently eight points out of a top-four finish and eleven points behind the lead position.

Erik ten Hag is under more strain now because of his recent struggles. But, as ESPN’s Rob Dawson reports, Manchester United’s executives continue to have faith in the Dutch coach’s ability to turn around the team’s performance.

However, they admit that if they want to finish in the top four this season, they need to make a big step forward in their play.

It seems quite unlikely that Manchester United would finish in the top four this season given their poor start in comparison to the four teams that are currently in those spots.

Erik ten Hag’s team has struggled in even the games they have managed to win, and there are worries about how they will fare in European events.

The former Ajax manager should have some flexibility given the season’s achievements and the serious injury worries that have plagued Manchester United.
