Bayern Munich are not expected to pursue a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.
Alisson’s long-term future at Anfield has been questioned over the past year, with Liverpool preparing for his eventual departure by signing Giorgi Mamardashvili from Valencia earlier this year.
While Saudi Arabian clubs have shown interest in Alisson, rumors suggested Bayern Munich might target the Brazilian as they look for a successor to Manuel Neuer, who turns 39 next year.
However, Florian Plettenberg has dismissed these rumors, stating that Alisson is not part of Bayern’s plans. Instead, Bayern intends to extend Neuer’s contract for another 12 months, keeping him at the club until 2026.
Bayern still plans for Alexander Nubel to eventually replace Neuer. Nubel spent last season on loan with Stuttgart and returned to the Bundesliga on a two-year loan this summer, with plans to take over in 2026.
Alisson, meanwhile, is contracted with Liverpool until 2027, and Mamardashvili is expected to challenge him for the starting role next summer.
