The English Premier League is looking into Chelsea about the transfer of two players.
The Premier League intends to look into Chelsea’s transfers of Willian and Samuel Eto’o.
The two transactions took place while Russian billionaire Roman Abramovic owned the Blues.
The Premier League is reportedly looking into both transfers after the current owners of the team raised concerns about them, according to The Times.
The website claims that in addition to Eto’o and Willian’s 2013 transfers from Anzi Makhachkala, there were other payments sent to undisclosed Russian entities that were not involved in the transactions.
Although it was mentioned two months ago that Chelsea would lose points if found guilty of defaulting, the current situation is uncertain.
Even though Chelsea reported the incident, the Blues were already fined for breaching the regulations when they acquired Andreas Christensen from the Danish team Brondby in 2012.
