When Ryan Gravenberch made his entire Liverpool debut against LASK in the Europa League, he suffered a disappointing setback.
The Dutch midfielder made a significant contribution to the goal by Luis Diaz, assisted the Colombian for Liverpool’s second goal, and gave Jurgen Klopp’s squad the lead.
After Gravenberch’s transfer from Bayern Munich was completed on deadline day, he was given his first starting position for Klopp’s team. The Ajax academy product turned down the chance to play for the Netherlands’ under-21 squad during the international break in favour of staying with Liverpool. Last Saturday, when the Reds defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers in a comeback, he made his debut for the club.
Although the full degree of Gravenberch’s injury is yet unknown, he needed medical attention after making a strong forward run as Liverpool went for their third goal of the game.
