Luis Enrique, the PSG coach, has been open about what he has seen recently, where PSG hasn’t fully persuaded. In this post-Neymar and Messi age, where Kylian Mbappé is the new centre and face of the team, the Asturian coach has positioned himself as one of the new arrivals. However, the manager has previously mentioned having to rely on Mbappe’s brilliance, which was evident in the team’s most recent loss, a home loss to OGC Nice.
The Asturian coach congratulated Nice, who he felt “deserved to take the three points” from the Parc des Princes, and confessed that he is not concerned that Mbappé scores nearly all of the goals for the Parisian squad. Playing for Mbappe and making him feel more at ease in some areas is not an issue for Luis Enrique. He thinks there is still potential for improvement, though. The coach understood that they deserved to win the previous game, of course.
“I have a good calibre team, especially among the top players. Mbappé will score a lot of goals since it is in his genetic makeup. However, the other players will also contribute goals. The former Spanish coach admitted, “I am not concerned about a potential dependence on Mbappé. Seven of his team’s last ten goals have been scored by the French forward. This illustrates how important the Frenchman is to PSG. It is unquestionably the Parisians’ attacking strategy for the time being in this new season.
