Kevin De Bruyne, a midfielder for Manchester City, has been praised for his intelligence by Mohamed Salah, a Liverpool star.
The two have frequently faced off for their respective sides, competing for Premier League victories in the past.
Now that both Liverpool and City have made strong beginnings, Salah has picked a specific City player that he admires.
In a recent video broadcast on the official Sky Sports Premier League Twitter account, Salah discussed which Premier League player, in his opinion, is the sharpest. In the video, several Premier League players selected the player they believed to have the finest foot, upper body, and head as their ideal player for the top division.
He responded, “De Bruyne, because he’s very intelligent.”
During the 2015 summer transfer window, Wolfsburg exchanged the player for £55 million with City.
The Belgian has since participated in 358 games across all divisions for the Citizens. He has won numerous awards, including five Premier League championships, and he has scored 96 goals and assisted on 153 others.
Salah is not the only outsider who has praised De Bruyne’s intelligence. The midfielder possesses “the most clever brain” Thierry Henry has ever seen in a player, the Frenchman claimed in May.
Given this and the number of goals the 32-year-old has contributed to while playing for City, it is clear how clever he is at positioning himself to either score or assist on goals.
