£33 million Premier League Liverpool has already found a’replacement’ for Mohamed Salah.

The West Ham forward is undoubtedly a candidate for that job in the future as he gets better every year.

Jarrod Bowen of West Ham may already be Liverpool’s future Mohamed Salah successor.

Al-Ittihad, a Saudi Arabian club, expressed interest in Salah, 31, during the summer transfer window but had a bid for up to £150 million rejected.

Next summer, when Salah will have just a year left on his present contract and may be free to leave if another substantial offer comes in, their interest is expected to resurface.

Who could possibly be brought in to replace one of the club’s greatest players ever in a world without Salah? Reports have stated that they have already discovered a few prospective stars despite having such large shoes to fill.

One of them is Bowen, 26, who has been a standout performer for West Ham over the previous few seasons. According to The Athletic, Liverpool has kept an eye on Bowen as they look for a player to replace Salah.

While not the most exotic name on paper, Bowen is a right-sided attacker with quick feet, pace, an eye for goals and assists, and the ability to always pose a threat from behind. Perhaps supporters would want to see the likes of Rafael Leao or Khvicha Kvaratskhelia signing instead.

They also include players like Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint-Germain, Bukayo Saka of Arsenal, Takefusa Kubo of Real Sociedad, and Johan Bakayoko of PSV, but Bowen should unquestionably be given major consideration.

Fans will rapidly look to statistics when searching for a substitute for Salah, who scored 30 goals and assisted 16 times across all competitions last season, but the West Ham attacker has been reliable in prior seasons while playing for a team that typically performs below average.

The last two seasons have seen Bowen contribute to 44 goals, which is a solid performance. He also had a standout performance in the Europa Conference League final when he scored the game-winning goal in the 90th minute to end West Ham’s nearly 60-year drought without a major European championship.

The major question would be whether he could fit into a side that dominated the ball more frequently given that he has previously demonstrated his ability to play as part of a counter-attacking side. Opportunities in front of goal would undoubtedly be more frequent at a top club.

In addition, he’s started this season strong, scoring three goals and dishing out one assist in his first four games. Among those goals were a spectacular long-range strike against Bournemouth and a wonderful touch and finish against Brighton, both of which had a touch of Salah about them.

His current contract expires in 2025, so if he doesn’t sign a new one before next summer, he’ll undoubtedly be considering his options next summer.

He is estimated to be worth around £33 million (€38 million), making him a potentially pricey in-league acquisition, but he will undoubtedly be less expensive than some of the superstars who have been linked.
