Man City’s club owner advises against bringing in a “special” £120 million player in January: Just put, “We don’t do that.”

Evan Ferguson is a player who Manchester City is interested in, but the player won’t be leaving in January.

That recommendation was made by Brighton’s owner and chairman, Tony Bloom. Bloom is well aware of the fantastic chance that his team has right now.

Ferguson made his Brighton debut in August 2021, not long after relocating from Bohemians.

He has stunned everyone with his outstanding all-around performance despite his youth.

Before the break for the international break, he increased his notoriety by scoring a hat-trick against Newcastle United.

It was recently asserted the City was monitoring Ferguson.

But if the club feels like swooping in January, they should probably disregard it.

Evan Ferguson won’t be moved in January, according to Tony Bloom, despite interest from Manchester City and other parties.

Brighton has made a name for itself as one of the best teams for player sales.

Young people with potential are snatched up for little to no money, developed, and then sold for astronomical sums.

Ferguson, who Alan Shearer called “a very special talent,” may be their biggest seller to date. They are excellently run. According to estimates, he is already worth about £120 million.

However, Bloom is confident that the Seagulls will keep the young player for the entire 2023–2024 season, so that won’t happen during the upcoming transfer window.

I don’t like to do a lot of business in January, he claims (Irish Independent).

None of our important players, in my opinion, will be traded in January. We just don’t do that. Nobody who is a crucial member of our team, however I’m not saying some guys won’t be traded.

Since City isn’t frequently so busy in the window, Evan Ferguson’s relocation in January was never likely.

Although it doesn’t seem like Brighton will try to sell Ferguson to anybody other than City in the forthcoming transfer window, Ferguson was never going to be acquired by the team.

It makes perfect sense for Bloom and Brighton to take the stance they have.

Ferguson is still only 18 years old, therefore the longer they hold onto him, the more likely it is that his market worth will rise sharply.

We’ll see if City wants to move forward next summer. Although he’ll undoubtedly be very expensive, Txiki Begiristain and Pep Guardiola might talk about it.

It must be tremendously attractive for Ferguson and Haaland to team up to play together.
