Report: European giants eye €75m move for key Liverpool star

Ryan Gravenberch has been outstanding for Liverpool since arriving from Bayern Munich.

The 23-year-old Dutch midfielder has quickly become a regular starter, and his impressive displays have caught the eye of Real Madrid.

Xabi Alonso wants Gravenberch at Madrid

As reported by Fichajes, Xabi Alonso is a big admirer of Gravenberch and has told club president Florentino Perez that the midfielder would significantly strengthen Madrid’s engine room. Whether Los Blancos decide to make an official move at the end of the season remains to be seen.

Liverpool, however, won’t be keen on letting him go. Gravenberch is central to Arne Slot’s plans, and Madrid would need to pay a hefty fee to change that. Liverpool’s valuation is believed to be around €75 million.

Gravenberch is enjoying life at Anfield, where he is competing for major trophies, so he has little reason to push for a departure. Still, the lure of Real Madrid—widely considered the biggest club in world football—could be tempting.

Interestingly, Madrid have already secured Trent Alexander-Arnold on a free and are monitoring Ibrahima Konaté, suggesting they may be lining up multiple moves for Liverpool stars.

Whether Madrid go all-in for Gravenberch will likely depend on their summer transfer priorities and the player’s willingness to swap Anfield for the Bernabéu.
