Manchester United Open Talks for Ardon Jashari as AC Milan Table £25.6m Bid
Manchester United have entered negotiations with the representatives of Club Brugge midfielder Ardon Jashari, even as AC Milan make a formal offer of €30 million (£25.6m) for the 22-year-old Swiss international.
Fulham and West Ham are also tracking the promising midfielder, but both clubs have had their approaches rejected. Manchester City were previously linked, though they ultimately signed AC Milan’s Tijjani Reijnders for £46.3m instead.
Who is Ardon Jashari?
Jashari is a Swiss midfielder who began his football journey at FC Luzern, joining their academy at 11. After progressing through the youth ranks, he made his senior debut at 18 and went on to make over 100 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing 11 assists.
In 2024, Club Brugge acquired him for a club-record €6m (£5.1m) from Luzern. His debut season in Belgium was a standout—he helped Brugge win the domestic cup, finish second in the league, and reach the Champions League Round of 16.
His performances earned him the Belgian Pro League Player of the Year award for the 2024/25 season. He also has four senior caps for Switzerland, having debuted at age 20.
Current Transfer Situation
According to HLN, AC Milan have submitted a €30m bid for Jashari. However, The Mirror reports that Manchester United are still firmly in the mix, having reached out to the player’s camp.
Club Brugge are said to be holding out for at least €40m (£34.1m), which means Milan’s offer may fall short of their valuation.
Manchester Evening News previously noted that United boss Ruben Amorim is keen on strengthening the midfield this summer, especially with Christian Eriksen expected to depart on a free transfer.
Champions League Football a Deciding Factor?
One of the hurdles United and Milan face is that neither club can currently offer Champions League football—something Jashari reportedly values highly in his next move. That priority has already led him to reject approaches from Fulham and West Ham.

Jashari’s rapid rise has attracted attention from top European clubs.
Arsenal monitored him during his time at Luzern but never acted, while Borussia Dortmund considered a move before opting to sign Jobe Bellingham. PSG are also said to have scouted him but are yet to make a concrete offer.
As the summer window unfolds, Manchester United’s pursuit of Jashari will likely depend on their ability to match Brugge’s asking price and convince the player of their long-term ambitions—despite their absence from next season’s Champions League.
