Liverpool Target Lautaro Martinez After Mac Allister Recommendation

Could Lautaro Martinez be on his way to Anfield? According to reports, Liverpool are considering a move for the Inter Milan striker—following a push from Alexis Mac Allister, who’s eager to reunite with his Argentina teammate at club level.

Mac Allister Endorses Lautaro Transfer

As reported by El Crack Deportivo (via Anfield Watch), Mac Allister has urged Liverpool to pursue Lautaro Martinez.

The pair have developed a strong on-field chemistry with Argentina, achieving major international success together. Mac Allister reportedly sees Lautaro as a key solution to Liverpool’s forward-line concerns.

Why Liverpool Want a New Striker

Liverpool are expected to bolster their attack this summer, with the futures of both Darwin Núñez and Diogo Jota in doubt. Núñez has been linked with Saudi club Al-Nassr, while Jota has drawn attention from other top European sides.

While Liverpool are monitoring several other strikers—such as Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, and Jonathan David—Lautaro’s form and international pedigree make him a standout option.

Lautaro’s Impressive Season

The Inter captain has been in exceptional form, netting 21 goals in Serie A and 8 more in the Champions League, helping his side reach the semi-finals. He also claimed the Golden Boot at the 2024 Copa America, leading Argentina to victory.

With Inter reportedly valuing Lautaro at around €100 million, Liverpool would need to break the bank to secure his services—making it one of the most significant moves in the club’s history.
