Positive Injury Updates for Liverpool as Ben Doak Suffers Minor Setback

Liverpool have received encouraging news on the injury front, with reports indicating that Trent Alexander-Arnold’s thigh issue is not serious.

The vice-captain is expected to require only a few days of treatment, meaning he will likely miss the Carabao Cup semi-final second leg against Tottenham but should avoid a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Fortunately, Conor Bradley is set to step in, keeping Liverpool in a strong position for the crucial match.

Meanwhile, yo ung win youger Ben Doak has encountered a setback during training with Middlesbrough, temporarily pausing his impressive Championship season.

The Scottish talent has been in top form, recording 10 goal involvements (three goals, seven assists) in 24 league games.

He is set to return to Liverpool this summer and, according to *The Athletic*, is being considered for Arne Slot’s first-team plans next season.

Doak’s Injury Not a Long-Term Concern

Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick provided an update on Doak’s condition ahead of their upcoming clash with Sheffield United.

While the 19-year-old’s absence is expected to last weeks rather than days, Carrick reassured fans that it is not a long-term issue.

“He felt his thigh in training, and we’ll have to see. It’s probably a number of weeks, if anything, not days, but I don’t think it’ll be too long, Carrick told *BBC Radio Tees*.

With 16 games remaining in the Championship season, Middlesbrough are just outside the playoff spots, trailing West Brom in sixth place on goal difference.

Liverpool’s Squad in Good Shape

With Alexander-Arnold’s injury not being a major concern and the squad largely fit, Liverpool remain well-positioned for the challenges ahead.

While they will take a cautious approach with their vice-captain’s recovery, the team remains in a strong place to push for success across multiple competitions.

Despite heavy speculation, Liverpool have opted not to move forward with a potential £85 million deal for Alexander Isak. Instead, the club has shifted its transfer focus and funds toward other priority targets who are considered more suited to Arne Slot’s tactical plans.

“I’m ready to sign for Liverpool immediately if he’s no longer in the squad. Once that condition is met, I’d be happy to make the move to Anfield” – those are the words of top defensive target Marc Guehi, who has made it clear he’s open to joining Liverpool, but only on one condition: the departure of a key current Reds player.
