“It’s getting heated between the two benches. Darwin Nunez just had a heated exchange with Marco Silva,” Pat Davison reported for Sky Sports.
However, the tension quickly subsided, with Nunez and Silva sharing a friendly hug as the Uruguayan warmed up before the 40th minute. “Friends again… for now,” Davison added humorously before halftime.
Controversy in Liverpool vs. Fulham
The match was not without its drama, as Andy Robertson’s red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity left little room for debate. Yet, questions remain over the officiating by Tony Harrington and VAR regarding Fulham’s first-half challenges.
Both Issa Diop and Andreas Pereira escaped with yellow cards for tackles that some argue warranted harsher punishment. Meanwhile, Robertson faced the ultimate consequence for his foul on Harry Wilson.
