Liverpool are currently navigating contract negotiations with several key players, including Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, who are all in the final year of their contracts at Anfield.

While the club remains optimistic about retaining Salah and Van Dijk, there is less confidence surrounding Alexander-Arnold, who has been linked to a potential move to Real Madrid.

In addition, another Liverpool star, Alexis Mac Allister, has expressed interest in a future move to Spain’s La Liga. The midfielder revealed his admiration for the Spanish language and culture, which he finds similar to that of his native Argentina.

Speaking to Spain’s *AS* ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Girona, Mac Allister said:

“Yes, why not? It’s a country I really like, and I’ve visited several times. The language and culture are very similar to Argentina. Without a doubt, I’d like to play in Spain one day. But for now, I’m very comfortable at Liverpool.”

Despite his long-term aspirations, Mac Allister remains an integral part of Liverpool’s setup. Since joining from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023, the midfielder has become a key player under manager Arne Slot.

His current contract runs until 2028, making a departure in the near future highly unlikely.

Mac Allister has delivered standout performances this season, particularly in his midfield partnership with Ryan Gravenberch, which has been a bright spot for the Reds.

While the allure of clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona may be enticing, Mac Allister is currently focused on helping Liverpool compete for silverware and has no immediate reason to leave.

Despite heavy speculation, Liverpool have opted not to move forward with a potential £85 million deal for Alexander Isak. Instead, the club has shifted its transfer focus and funds toward other priority targets who are considered more suited to Arne Slot’s tactical plans.
