“I regret to say he has no future under me at Manchester City” – Pep Guardiola delivers brutal blow to £63M out-of-favour star, urging him to find a new club this summer – signalling the end of his City career.

Pep Guardiola has issued a fresh update on Savinho, Tottenham’s key transfer target, while Thomas Frank has delivered a firm message regarding the Manchester City star.

Spurs have been pushing hard to sign Savinho, holding direct talks and tabling bids, but City continue to stand firm on their £70m valuation.

Adding to the uncertainty, Savinho has picked up an injury that rules him out of the upcoming clash with Spurs, denying him the chance to showcase his ability to either club in the short term.

When asked about the winger’s future, Guardiola gave little away, saying only that he doesn’t know what will happen and that “a few things are going to happen, and we’ll see.”

His words suggest City are still weighing up their options and are keeping the door open to different scenarios.

Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Thomas Frank made his stance crystal clear, insisting that the club only wants players who genuinely want to join.

“Let me be very, very clear — I don’t want any players who don’t want to come to this club,” he said. “If they don’t want to wear this fantastic badge, then we don’t want them here.”

Frank underlined that passion and commitment are non-negotiables, adding that fans feel the same: “Play for the badge, enjoy it, and if not, then no problem — we don’t need them.”

Frank’s comments carry extra weight in light of Spurs’ failed pursuit of Eberechi Eze, who opted to sign for Arsenal instead.

Despite that setback, Savinho’s interest in Tottenham doesn’t appear to be in doubt, and the club is expected to keep pushing for a deal despite City’s steep asking price.

For City, Savinho’s injury provides time to reconsider his role, while Guardiola’s vague response hints that his future could still be discussed.

For Tottenham, Frank’s uncompromising message and the club’s determination to continue their pursuit show just how serious they are about landing him.

The Savinho saga is far from over, and the next few weeks will determine whether Spurs can meet City’s demands — or if the player stays put at the Etihad.
