He stated, “Before the season, I thought, ‘I have one year left, let’s just enjoy it and not think about the contract.’
I don’t want to think about next year or the future. Let’s enjoy this last year and see what happens. The most important thing is to take one day at a time and be grateful to be here.”
While Salah’s public comments keep the door open for a potential contract extension, they also raise concerns that this could be his final season with Liverpool.
Given his strong start to the campaign, scoring in the first two Premier League matches, fans are hopeful that he’ll decide to extend his stay at Anfield.
