Liverpool Player Set for Summer Exit Emerges as Key Target for Atlético Madrid

With both Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson set to depart the Premier League club at the end of the season, Liverpool are expected to enter the transfer market in search of reinforcements to recover from a difficult campaign.

Unsurprisingly, both players are already drawing strong interest from top clubs ahead of the summer window.

Atlético Madrid have now joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Robertson, according to reports.

The left-back recently confirmed his intention to leave, stating that he feels it’s the right time to move on and embrace a new challenge in his career.

The Spanish side had previously been linked with the Scotland captain last summer, especially after Liverpool signed Milos Kerkez from AFC Bournemouth for £40 million as a long-term replacement.

Although a deal didn’t happen then, Atlético have now reignited their interest, seeing a major opportunity to secure a world-class player on a free transfer.

From a tactical standpoint, the move appears ideal, as Robertson’s tireless work rate, intensity, and defensive strength align perfectly with the philosophy of manager Diego Simeone.
