Manchester United are just days away from resuming pre-season training and aim to sell two players before the squad meets.
Last season, Mason Greenwood and Jadon Sancho had successful loan spells with Getafe and Borussia Dortmund, respectively.
Despite both clubs wanting to retain them, they have not met Manchester United’s transfer demands, so the players are set to return to Manchester soon.
However, according to HITC, Manchester United, led by new shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe, do not want either player involved in Erik Ten Hag’s training camp.
They hope to find solutions within the next week. Greenwood, who faced criminal charges nearly two years ago but was later cleared, has not featured for the team since.
Sancho was also sidelined after a public dispute with Ten Hag.
Valued at a combined £85 million, United are hopeful the pair’s exits could raise significant funds for the summer transfer window.
Finding buyers is proving difficult, though, as no club appears willing to meet United’s asking prices, with Getafe and Borussia Dortmund preferring another loan agreement.
