Liverpool have officially unveiled Arne Slot as their new head coach, and the Dutch manager has confirmed the backroom staff that will assist him in his first season at Anfield.
The 45-year-old joins the Merseyside club from Feyenoord, where he spent the last three years. During his tenure with the Dutch club, Slot won the Eredivisie title and the KNVB Cup, achievements that the fans will always appreciate.
Slot now faces the biggest opportunity of his career as he prepares to take over Liverpool from the 2024/25 season onward.
Taking the helm at the Premier League giants is a significant challenge, made even tougher by the fact that he is succeeding Jurgen Klopp. Klopp’s era at Anfield is legendary, with the German coach having won every trophy during his time in England.
On Wednesday, Liverpool officially introduced Slot as their new head coach, and the 45-year-old named the backroom staff who will support him in his debut Premier League season.

Sipke Hulshoff will join Slot at Liverpool as his assistant, having worked together at Feyenoord since 2022. The 49-year-old also served as Ronald Koeman’s assistant with the Netherlands national team before stepping down earlier this year.
Speaking about Hulshoff, Slot told Liverpool.com: “I bring in Sipke Hulshoff, who’s been my assistant for a few years now at Feyenoord. I worked with him long ago, at Cambuur Leeuwarden as well.
“He was also Ronald Koeman’s assistant with the Dutch national team, but he is going to join me now from the start.
He is a bit older than me, not by much, but a bit older. Because we have worked together for such a long time, we both know exactly what we want in terms of game model and playing style, and I think that helps.”
In addition to Hulshoff, Ruben Peeters will take on the role of lead physical performance coach at Liverpool.
Meanwhile, Fabian Otte will become the head of first-team goalkeeper coaching, joining from the USA national team following their participation in this summer’s Copa America.
These individuals will form part of the new coaching staff at Liverpool as a new era at Anfield begins in August.
