Manchester City forward Erling Haaland has been closely monitoring the Premier League title race and expressed confidence, saying, “We are geared up to go on the offensive.”

City clinched a 6-2 triumph over Luton Town on Tuesday night, progressing to the FA Cup quarterfinals at Kenilworth Road.

Haaland displayed an impressive performance, netting five goals for Pep Guardiola’s squad, including a hat-trick within the first 40 minutes of the match.

Haaland, who recently recovered from an ankle injury sidelining him for two months, has been in prolific form, scoring seven goals in his last six outings.

With star player Kevin De Bruyne also returning to his peak form following a lengthy hamstring injury, he provided assists for Haaland’s first four goals against Luton.

The pair is determined to lead City to their fourth consecutive Premier League title. Currently trailing leaders Liverpool by just a single point, City faces a pivotal showdown at Anfield next Sunday, with Arsenal lurking one point behind in third place.

Haaland issued a stern warning to Liverpool as they contend for the title, telling ITV Sport, “It’s coming, and we’re on our way.”

Regarding his fitness, Haaland expressed assurance, stating, “I’m reaching my peak condition. Feeling absolutely fantastic finally. It’s an exhilarating feeling. Exciting times lie ahead. We’re primed to launch an assault.”

However, City encountered another setback during their triumph over Luton. Jack Grealish was forced off in the 38th minute due to a recurrence of a groin injury, visibly distressed on the bench. Manager Pep Guardiola remarked, “I haven’t spoken to the doctor yet, but it seems he complained about his groin, so it may be similar.”
