Victor Osimhen has strongly hinted at an imminent departure from Napoli, suggesting he has already made a decision about his future at the end of the season.
Despite signing a contract extension with Napoli until 2026, which included a pay increase and a release clause of €120m (£103m), Osimhen seems inclined to move on.
“I have already made my decision about my next move at the end of the season,” Osimhen revealed to CBS Sports. “I already have my plan and know what I want to do, with many rumors linking me to the Premier League.”
While Osimhen aims to finish the season strongly with Napoli, he seems drawn to the allure of the Premier League, considering it as one of the world’s top leagues. Currently representing Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations, Osimhen has emerged as a prolific striker in recent years, though his playing time this season has been hindered by injuries and suspensions.
Despite reports linking him to the Saudi Pro League, Osimhen has previously dismissed such a move, with Napoli rejecting bids from Al Hilal in the past. Addressing recent claims by a teammate’s agent suggesting a potential move to Saudi Arabia, Osimhen vehemently denied any interest, expressing his frustration and asserting his commitment to Napoli.
In addition to interest from Chelsea and Manchester United, Real Madrid is also reportedly eyeing Osimhen, although their focus seems more centered on Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the transfer market.
