Liverpool’s recent signing Milos Kerkez has dismissed suggestions that he and Cody Gakpo are failing to combine effectively on the pitch.
Supporters had begun to speculate that the Dutch forward often overlooks Kerkez’s overlapping runs, particularly in attacking situations down the left.
Addressing the talk in a media appearance, the Hungarian full-back played down any concerns, explaining that there is no issue between the two.
He said his responsibility is to provide width, stretch the opposition and offer passing options, while the final decision on how attacks develop rests with the player on the ball.
Kerkez emphasised that their relationship is positive, noting that they work closely together in training and communicate well. He added that what fans notice during games is more about tactical execution than any lack of chemistry.
Unbothered by the rumours, Kerkez remains focused on developing his performances and building stronger connections across the team, rather than engaging with speculation away from the pitch.
